One Week of Camp


  • Dates: June 22 – 26 and June 29 – July 3
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each week, campers can expect hands-on animal encounters mixed with opportunities to express themselves creatively through art and language. Students must bring a sack lunch, though snacks are provided.

Early bird special: $375 if booked by January 31.

The theme for June 22 – 26 is Amazing Animal Adaptations and explores animals and their habitat, looking at both natural and captive environments. Campers can expect to create their own habitats as well as enhance the zoo animal habitats with keeper-led enrichment projects.

The theme for June 29 – July 3 is Cool Careers with Animals and introduces campers to a variety of career fields that involve animals, from farmers, animal keepers, and zoologists to animal photographers/videographers, field biologists, and veterinarians. Campers can expect to participate in the husbandry routine at the zoo, conservation research projects, as well as meet guests from a variety of zoo fields and learn about what they do and the educations that prepared them.

Both weeks, campers from 1st grade to 8th grade are welcome.

Camp fees include a T-shirt, water bottle, daily snack, and a camel ride. Limited availability, only 40 campers per week, only $375 if booked by 1/31/2020!

  • Daily camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, Monday through Friday.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Terms and agreement: Cancellation must be done 7 days prior to the start of camp for a full refund.
